Returns Policy

Returns

Every product you buy from Computerpartsireland.com is backed first by the product manufacturer's warranty.

We simply cannot take back items that were wrongly selected by the customer, we have online technical support on our website from 10:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday, and a dedicated technical team to assist, should you require assistance in selecting the correct products you require.

Subject to your compliance with the Returns section above, if you are returning your goods because they were damaged in transit, the wrong products were delivered, or because the products delivered were materially different from what was described on the website when you purchased the products, then you shall be entitled to a refund of the full product price(s) of the returned product(s) and a refund of the full price of the original delivery charge.

Subject to your compliance with the Returns section above, in all other circumstances you will be entitled to a refund of the full product price(s) of the returned product(s) minus the transaction fee we incurred when processing your online payment only. The original delivery charge will not be refunded.

In no circumstances will you be refunded your cost of delivering the returned goods to us.

Please note, if we reasonably believe the returned goods have been used you will not be entitled to a refund and you will be responsible for charges incurred for the delivery of your returned goods back to yourself within 28 days of our receipt of your returned goods.

Products must be returned in perfect condition, carefully packaged in their original state, with all of their accessories (e.g. CD-ROM, cables, user guides, etc.) and without any modifications to their reference and serial numbers. They must have their labels intact, along with any stamps or marks required for resale.



Returning Products

 

Free Collection / Delivery

Computer Parts Ireland offers free collection and delivery for certain products ( which includes Televisions, Cameras, Computer components, Data Storage devices, Printers and Servers ) if reported within the first three working days of receiving the product. All requests must be notified before 5pm the third working day. All other returns will have to be returned to Computer Parts Ireland at customer’s own expenses.

All returns have to be delivered by post or courier services, in no circumstances CPI will accept drop or collection of products at our local offices.


Faulty Product Support

Some manufactures require that the customer contact them directly regarding their faulty product and not the retailer. In such cases please contact Computer Parts Ireland for manufacturer’s details. If you are having difficulties dealing with the manufacturer directly, we will be happy to assist you. For any specific support related queries we would advise you to contact the manufactures for technical support. At Computer Parts Ireland we have our own dedicated support team to assist you to resolve an issue if required.

 

Returns Process

All returns require a Return Authorisation Number (RAN) to be issued prior to being returned.

All Return Authorisation Numbers are issued by Computer Parts Ireland’s returns division. You will have to contact our customer service by email or by phone to raise a return request.

After the returns request is approved an RAN will be issued. An email confirmation will be sent to you with the return instructions.

If the product is delivered faulty, wrong products were delivered, or because the products delivered were materially different from what was described on the website when you purchased the products, an RAN will be issued in 24 to 48 hours.

If the product is delivered damaged, you have the rights to refuse the product delivery, in such cases you will have to notify CPI the same day. A new replacement product will be shipped back to you upon receiving the damaged product from the courier company.

If the product is delivered damaged and you accepted the delivery, you will still be entitled for a replacement or a full refund. In such cases an investigation will be carried out by our transport department in conjunction with the courier company before RNA is issued. Such investigations can take up to 10 days to complete. On completion of the investigation an RNA will be issued. In such cases where product delivery is accepted you will have to notify CPI within 24 hours of accepting the delivery.

Products must be returned to CPI’s Returns Division or as stated on the returns arrangement.  CPI may authorise courier’s to ship the returned product directly to CPI’s suppliers or authorised repair centre in Ireland, UK or France.

Products must also be accompanied by a returns coupon and be sent by recorded delivery (e.g. Shipper), regardless of whether they are the subject of a refund or a return. If a product is returned without prior written authorisation from CPI, it will be automatically sent back to the Customer at their expense.

A replacement product or  a  full refund will be issued after the product  goes through our initial inspection, products missing the original packaging will have to go through additional inspection process which can take up to two to four working days. A full refund will be issued in 24 to 48 hours after the inspection process is complete.

Please allow 7 to 10 working days from the date of collection/shipping to receive a replacement product or a full refund.

Refunds

In cases of a refund, the refund will be applied to the credit/debit card/PayPal method that was used to make the transaction within 48hrs of our acceptance of your returned goods.

 

Warranties & After sale services

All products sold by Computer Parts Ireland come with a 1-year “manufacturer warranty”. Repairs to products, whether they are covered by warranty or not, are guaranteed by the manufacturer or certified workshop. Whether the brand has operations in the Ireland or is represented by a third party is irrelevant.

Defective or faulty products must be returned directly to manufacturers or certified workshops.

Should you be unable to contact the manufacturer, you may return your product via standard post (or carrier) to the address given on your returns coupon.
Returned products will not be accepted at the Computer Parts Ireland’s head office.
Computer Parts Ireland agrees to arrange repairs with its suppliers.
Whatever the problem, you must return your product along with a copy of the invoice, the warranty card (included in the original box) and the returns coupon.

If a product generates a fault after 3 days, the products are returned at the customer’s expense.

Product warranties sold by Computer Parts Ireland do not cover:
- replacement of consumables such as batteries, light bulbs, fuses, antennas, headphones, microphones and recording heads,
- incorrect or inappropriate use of products. Please read the user manual supplied with your product carefully,
- malfunction due to accessories such as power cables,
- defects and consequences following repairs by a person non-certified by Computer Parts Ireland,
- defects and consequences due the incorrect use of the product, e.g. commercial purposes,
- defects and consequences due to external causes.

Please note that warranties do not apply to repairs for damage due to external causes, e.g. accidents, shocks, power spikes, lightning, etc, or to the customer’s incorrect use of the product, e.g. product not installed in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions, detrimental use of product, use of product for commercial purposes, use of unsuitable peripherals, accessories or consumables, etc.

In all cases, Computer Parts Ireland will not be held responsible if the manufacturer refuses to honour the warranty.
In such a case, the manufacturer will provide a quote for repairs.
Administration fees may be charged by the manufacturer if the customer refuses to pay for the repairs specified in the quote. Should the customer accept the quote, payment for the total amount of the quote should be sent to Computer Parts Ireland via bank transfer.

Liability limits

No liability will be accepted for loss or damages, direct or indirect, whatever the cause.
In no case will the Customer, for any reason, withhold funds from an invoice for an incomplete delivery or for defective goods.

 

COOLING OFF PERIOD
You are entitled to a cooling-off period of 14 days, which begins on the day that you receive the goods. In the case of a service, the cooling-off period begins on the day the contract for distance selling was concluded.

During the cooling-off period, you can cancel a distance contract without giving a reason and without incurring charges or penalties, other than possible charges incurred in returning the goods.
